Promoting Reading for Pleasure and an Enjoyment of Literature

This project introduced young people in secondary education to high-quality literature, and encouraged the development of their creative writing skills, providing them with the opportunity to work with a critically acclaimed writer. They were encouraged to write a short story that was entered into a creative writing competition.

All participating young people were gifted a copy of the visiting writer’s most recent work.
