The Makerspace facility located at Hull Central Library allows anyone to explore their creativity in arts, science, technology and engineering.
A complete floor in the Central Library was refurbished and officially opened to the public in January 2019. The space boasts state of the art manual, digital and electronic equipment with skilled staff and technicians providing support and workshops for people of all ages. Participants and members can work on their own projects or sign up to one of the many workshops or taster sessions.
The following equipment and tools are available:

- CNC machine
- Laser cutter
- Embroidery machine
- Pottery and glass kilns
- Electronics tools
- Jewellery tools
- Woodworking tools
- Banner printer
- Screen printing press
MakerspaceHull provides an opportunity to support new activities in libraries and reaches people who might not ordinarily use their local library service.
The space is open to anyone who wants to create, invent, explore, learn, think and exhibit.
