Read Regional

Read Regional is a unique campaign that partners with libraries and publishers to give readers unique access to meet authors in their local libraries.

All of the Read Regional titles are stocked in libraries across the city, creating a wealth of northern literature available to borrow. Established writers are joined by new talent in a list which ranges from Young Adult fiction, to graphic novel, to contemporary poetry.

Previous writers the programme has brought to Hull include - Stephanie Butland, Tim Leach, Debbie Taylor, Ellen Phethean, Annabel Pitcher, Stephen May, Susan Elliot Wright, Gavin Extence and Cassandra Parkin.

Read Regional is managed by New Writing North.

The Read Regional programme for 2019 sees the following authors visiting Hull Central Library:

  • Robert Scragg - What Falls Benath the Cracks / Weds 13th March - 6.30pm
