JAMES RECKITT HULL CHILDREN BOOK AWARD 2018 - KS3

2018 marks the 11th anniversary of the James Reckitt Hull Children’s Book Award.

The voting for the Key Stage 3 shortlist is taking place at the Freedom Centre in Hull.  The children are invited along to hear from the authors, share their opinions of the books and vote for their winning title.  The votes will be collated on the day and a specially commissioned artwork will be presented to the winning writer. Students can also achieve their Arts Award Discover by logging their thoughts and ideas in the KS3 award diary.

This year's shortlisted books for KS3 include:

  • All the Things That Could Go Wrong - Stewart Foster
  • The Island at the End of Everything - Kiran Millwood Hargrave
  • Welcome to Nowhere - Elizabeth Laird
  • Evie’s Ghost - Helen Peters
  • The Incredible Billy Wild - Joanna Nadin
